Spring 2007

Next semester I plan on killing myself:

- Lit Hum
- Frontiers
- Chinese
- Getrude Stein & The Avant-Garde
- Intro to Film Theory
- Style & Structure I

I also plan on forsaking the Spec because I am disappointed that my 'Poetry in NYC' article was edited to the point that it was plagiarism (or something like that) to put my name on it. Bad editing. If my grammar had been changed, then so be it. But to change the structure of MY article, to completely remove me from MY article ... why not just put the editor's name on it? Because that's what it was. I don't want to write articles for an 'institution' that does that. However, I like the Music section so I might stay and just write for that. I also really, really want this Senior Writer gig but I don't feel like I've written enough for Spec to get it. So anyway, I plan on lessening my Spec involvement (unless, by some stroke of luck, I get to be Senior Writer) and getting a show on WBAR. I would love that. My own show on which to tell the world what to listen to and then watch them not listen. WBAR ... hell yes! I am SO excited. Hopefully, I'll also get to do something for CU Concerts. So:

- WBAR
- Spec Music
- CU concerts

In ADDITION, I also plan on interning somewhere, preferrably at a magazine.

So, as you can see, I am going to kill myself.

Fire
I will wake up anytime, I will open my eyes just to see the flames rise, I will burn this building down just to feel that flying feeling. The way we live, we live alone, we live alone in square foot boxes with our blood splattered on the walls - our mother's wombs recreated in concrete. We will not come out and see the cold world rain down on us, we are watching the rain from toasty towers. That is why alarms are 'malisciously pulled' until this building cannot hold us and we flood out grumbling about premature birth, untimely ripping from our concrete wombs. But I will wake up anytime, I will open my eyes just to see the flames rise, just to let you reach in with your dagger-eyes and pull out the fire from under my ribs.

I miss this movie.
But everytime I
watch it, I get
disappointed.
Still, I miss this movie.
