The Rhyme of Deep and Sleep

... is no coincidence. The fathers of the English language knew what they were doing (except for when they decided on mouse-mice, house-houses and all that shit).

I have been up since 11am. It's a miracle. The secret to a full life is waking up in the morning with no classes ahead. Today I: met with my UW prof to go over my essays, went to an Internship 'Boot Camp', saw Urinetown! (a Columbia production, Ben is SO talented - even though he won't say it - I am jealous), searched for a Polaroid camera which I didn't buy and will buy tomorrow (Polaroid One600 Ultra), went to Potluck house again, saw Anton Glamb at Earl Hall Open Mic (will find the 'subway' song for you to listen to), watched awesome acoustic at PostScrypt, and semi-cleaned my room.

Now I am dying of exhaustion and want (for that Polaroid).

If only I'd wake up early on weekends and indulge in the pleasure I get from doing multiple errands back-to-back, my life would be so much fuller. But then I wouldn't take pleasure in my blitzkrieg-organization that comes in jolts.

I also bought HOWL today. I will read it tomorrow while I get my hair relaxed.

Tomorrow I will finally own a CAMERA! You will be able to see my life. I will be able to let myself believe that every night is a good night the way pictures let me believe it is true. Especially polaroids. Polaroids are beautiful. They make everything look epic, wondrous, memorable, nostalgic.

"you can take your things down with you as long as your things aren't large."

ANYWAY. The Anton Glamb song 'Subway' (listen to it at myspace.com/antonglamb). Anton Glamb is a resident future popstar here at Columbia who is going to make it (especially in Europe) based on the sheer force and pure-poetic nature of his lyrics. Plus he was obviously wasted when he performed.

"take a 2 or 3 headin' uptown, switch at 96th street or 91 now, get off at 116th and I will run down, we're gonna have a time tonight, yeah..."
