The Same Difference

Because I am very bored, you pretty people get to listen to my random thoughts.

Yesterday I went to the WBAR show and saw Birthday Boyz, O'Death, and Amazing Color (spelt without the u). Birthday Boyz was bland, O'Death was excellent (I wanna see them @ Northsix on the 12th ... anyone?), and Amazing Color was just plain repetitive. Like the Strokes. They have one good riff, but then they play it for 3 fucking minutes. Ew.

Today I woke up at 12:07 (hell yes! early bird!) and did my laundry, opened a citibank account, bought mouthwash and contact solution, really just established myself as a boring lifeless person. Now I am going to write an essay in Chinese, figure out my Romantic Poetry thesis, and write the first draft of my Lit Hum essay. My life rocks.

I am amazed at the amount of amazing music that comes out of Canada. Really. So many excellent artists doing stuff New York teenagers have stopped doing. After all, over here it's more about the image of the scene, than creating good music. How many skinny-ass indie kids in flannel and neckerchiefs can one island hold? Not too many. They're migrating to Brooklyn. Okay, I'm being a little judgemental but it just surprises me how people dress alike to be considered different - the same difference.

I want one of these:

fake vintage Crosley entertainment centers *swoon* cd, tape, record players + radio!

I also REALLY REALLY want a video camera. My dad said I could buy one if it was cheap. Cheap = circa $250, which is not cheap. I'd rather buy one in Hong Kong but I fear electronic incompatibility problems. I have music videos swirling in my head full of cafeterias and awnings ... hehe ... if I do start making videos, I'll create a new blog (called People's Places) just for that. I'm so excited.

I am yet to win anything on eBay. People with money always outbid me at the last moment. Ew!

I am currently winning this:

If I get it, I will call it my Kings of Leon shirt. I am DYING to hear new music from them. Where are you KOL?

I'm off to procrastinate and drown my boredom on eBay. Excellent.
