Conrad’s London is never concrete. We don’t even start on concrete land, but on the sea, “[floating] on the ebb” (5) into the “interminable” (3), the “changing immensity” (5)...

I had to cut Conrad out of my essay on travel and knowing. Everytime i do something like that i get hit with an uber-wave of "what if?" and what could i have discovered?
oh well. wells & james look good to me.
