today i stayed up all night
and i wrote myself into short story
and did my laundry and researched health care
and listened to straylight run
i also spent a large sum of time in the butler media library:
bergman's wild strawberries - great themes. not my favourite bergman film (persona), but good, esp. structurally.
almodóvar's la mala educación (bad education) - a well-shot telenovela. that is being kind. i didn't feel like the saturated colours worked with the purpose. and it didn't deserve the NC-17 rating
bergman's cries & whispers - didn't quite interest me, although (as always) cinematography gets an A+ and sound was great (really amazing, actually).
wanted to see through a glass darkly but that was "taken out". tomorrow = revisiting the royal tenenbaums, the motorcycle diaries, and seeing mulholland dr.
it's 10pm on a thursday and i choose sleep.
