- kubrick's dr. strangelove [very much a disappointment. the things i like to see in kubrick - expert control of the mise-en-scene, photographic shots, musical scores... - were not present, at least not as much as they are in many of his other movies. and dr strangelove was a near-cameo character, and it was basically a stage to show off peter sellers. who was better in lolita anyway]
- kubrick's full metal jacket [so so good! great message - although a bit tired - i love the first half for its music and beautiful shots and bathos/humour. the second half, not so much. but that's just my dislike of war movies and war novels that kept me from reading catch-22 for so long. when the sniper turned out to be a little girl though ... wow! that was an awesome scene]
- godard's vivre sa vie [i only got up to tableaux 8 and was kicked out at closing time. will return apres spring break. so far so very very good though]
i am also going to rent keiller's london from kim's for tonight :)

MY ENTERTAINMENT CENTRE ARRIVED! so i am listening to the police's synchronicity. it's the only record i own, which i sniped from the wbar free-bin and it is very very scratched. not a band or a record i like ... but it will do until i get my hands into vortex or into any used record store in palo alto. mmm ... bongo drums!
i'm gone. adios. au revoir. zaijian.
