Today was so great and then amazingly horrible.
I met up with Diana, Dani, and Hoi to go shopping round. I got the top of my ear pierced for HK$20 (pishposh to New York's US$25), bought the 2% Homme jacket, and then found out that my iPod is truly dead. Gone. Finito. No Way Back. See You When I See Ya. Ouch. It hurts. It hurts so bad because I've been saving up to get a new digital camera and now that money is going to be poured into a new iPod. Ouch. It's really bringing me down. All those sacrifices go to give me something I already had!
+ without buying an iPod I can pay for half of my Canon Powershot like my parents said, buy a LOMO camera AND keep saving towards the Crosley Entertainment Centre I was saving towards in the first place.
I always get confused when I can't get everything because I've always been used to getting everything, and not in a spoiled brat daddy's girl kind of way (though I am borderline). It's just that, until my fucking iPod broke down, I could've had it all. It was close. Now I need to bury my head in the drawing board all over again:
iPod - $350
Canon Powershot - $400
LOMO - (ranges) circa $100
Crosley - $180
Total: $1030 (UNREASONABLE!)
Savings: $250
Mum: $125
Total: $375
Allowance: $250
(transport, food, supplies, the like: $150)
leftovers if I skimp: $100
Total: $475
Can buy: 1 iPod + LOMO camera + pay for my mandolin (exactly)
Leaving me at square one with the Canon (LOMO will be worth it)
I'll forget the Entertainment centre (after all, an iPod is an entertainment center in my pants, no?)
This would all be fine and dandy if: I didn't need new contacts. i didn't need to travel.
Contacts = $180.
FUCK!
And just yesterday I was on top of all this and not relying on my folks for l'argent. Oh how the tide disobeys the moon!
My ear is stinging again. Tonguestud.com says it will take 2-12 months to heal. Uh oh. Hope I don't sleep on the right side of my body tonight or for the next few months. Which sucks because I usually do.
I feel so emo right now. On top of all that I am currently listening to Day Of The Lords (Joy Division) and it's making me bask in my self-pity - where will it eeend?!

ipods are whiny bitches. let the battery drain leave it for 2 weeks and it sould work mine's done that many times over. theres also manual scans and etc you can run i'll show you believe me i could be an ipod mechanic at this rate.
and re lomo my friends got me one for xmas!! which yer welcome to use anytime . its wonderfully random and haphazard yum. i say go for camera it improves life much weee. also il parait que i am blogging far too much ouf.
